Meet Jenny, the mastermind behind CluBeann. Hailing from Shenzhen city, China, Jenny's journey into the world of coffee began in Glasgow university where she was studying for a master's degree in International Human Resource and Development. However, her true passion for speciality coffee quickly took over and she decided to pursue a career in the coffee industry.
Starting from scratch as a coffee enthusiast turned barista, Jenny's dedication to learning and growing in the world of coffee knows no bounds. From honing her skills through daily practices and learning from other coffee professionals to attending events, festivals, and latte art throwdowns, Jenny has immersed herself in the coffee community.
After making her mark by placing 8th in the Barista League at the Manchester coffee festival, Jenny set her sights on formal competitions to further enhance her coffee knowledge and skills. In 2024, she competed in the UK Brewers Cup and impressed by placing 6th in her first-ever competition. This achievement fueled her desire to bring specialty coffee to a wider audience and thus, the idea for CluBeann was born.
With a vision to create a cupping and brewing club that empowers indie Asian roasters, Jenny is on a mission to showcase the best of Asian coffee to the world. By collaborating with roasters from her hometown and forging new relationships with roasters in other Asian countries, Jenny is turning her dream of making specialty coffee more accessible into a reality.
